Specialist Tax Advice For Accountants

Contact Us Now

NZ Tax Desk also offers tax advisory services to Accountants and other professionals who need specialist advice for their clients. These professional firms benefit from our in-depth tax knowledge and advice because it is quick, clear and easily understood.

There are predominantly three parts to our specialist tax service for Accounting and professional firms.

  • Q&A. Our most popular service. Providing answers to those niggling questions we all have, usually via written email for future reference. Charged on a time and cost basis.
  • Detailed tax opinions. Where you need that extra level of comfort we can provide a comprehensive written opinion on the potential issues as we see them, the likely taxation implications, and any recommendations we may have to mitigate adverse impacts. We will provide an up-front fee estimate, which you can get your client to agree to prior to us proceeding,
  • IRD assistance. This service can range from simple strategy advice to full management of the review, audit or other application. Charged on a time and cost basis.

Our specialist tax service is a simple pay as you use it service. We set you up as an advisory client, and we invoice you when you use our services. There is no “minimum” charge and equally, we do not bill for every 30-second question. We are focused on developing long-term relationships with you, not making a quick buck in the short-term.

Specialist tax advice – the Benefits

We work with a number of firms who rely on us as an extension of their practice. With this relationship, they have all the access to the specialist tax resources of a larger firm, but without the overhead.

Our clients also appreciate the cost-effectiveness of our service. Client firms often empower their teams to contact us directly, without restrictions on the number of queries they can run past us. This saves staff time and means they can keep a job moving without being delayed researching complicated tax issues.
